Matthew RockwellMatthew is an accomplished vibist, drummer, mandolin player, composer and teacher currently located in Upstate New York. He’s a Manhattan School of Music alumnus and has studied with percussion legends Fred Hinger, Paul Price and Jim Preiss, vibraphone with David Friedman and Bill Molenhof, and drum set with Kenwood Dannard.
For the past decade Matt has kept an extremely active schedule teaching and perfecting his “RHYTAMICS” rhythm training system while maintaining a steady flow of performances with regional Country favorites the Fulton Chain Gang, Hilbily-Deluxe, Country Jack and his own Matthew Rockwell Group (MRG)! “I own a dozen or so kits, from vintage American, top of the line Japanese, Premier Resonators and small custom shop sets and all I want to play is my Noble & Cooley Horizons!
