An accomplished New York City drumset player and percussionist, Matt Smallcomb is in demand as a player, educator and studio musician. Currently, a member of a Philadelphia based hip-hop groups The Collective, and Chavous. Matt has had the chance to open for such acts as: Afro Man, Bone Thugs & Harmony, Busta Rhymes, Ja-Rule, Jurassic 5, Naughty by Nature, O-Town, The Roots, and has appeared on television broadcasts for CN8 Philadelphia, Wilkes University and WVIA's Homegrown Music Series.
As a percussionist Matt freelances with various regional orchestras in the New York City area including The One World Symphony, Westfield Symphony, New Amsterdam Symphony, and The New England Symphonic Ensemble, performing at such venues as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Philadelphia's Verizon Hall.
